The industry's answer to wildlife is too often blobs of foam squirted around the roof line and unpainted chicken wire stapled over holes. Every animal is handled humanely and in accordance with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency regulations.
Here is what humane means on our jobs:
We prefer eviction instead of relocation whenever possible, in order to give the critters the highest survival chances. This allows the animals to stay in the same general territory. We time our evictions carefully. This means no evictions during baby season, or when the weather is excessively harsh. In the case of bat maternity season, our policy goes even further than the legal maternity window, to protect late flying babies and litter runts who may not yet be mobile when the legal eviction window opens.
Trapping and relocating is a last resort. If relocation is the only way, we choose areas for relocation that maximize their ability to find food and shelter. Traps are checked promptly. Females are examined for nursing or pregnancy, and when there's a litter, we delay the project until the babies are grown so the families can exit together.
Orphaned animals go to licensed wildlife rehabilitators.
Wildlife does not belong in your home, but it still deserves to be treated with compassion.

Before hiring anyone, us included, ask the following questions: Does the guarantee cover the home or only the hole that is sealed? How long is the guarantee? The exclusion work, meaning the sealing and repairs, carries an industry-leading 10-year guarantee. If wildlife breaks back in through a point we protected, the follow-up visit to get them out is free. For many animals, such as bats and squirrels, we also offer full home exclusions that warranty the house from top to bottom. Frequently, yes. Bat and raccoon damage is covered under many homeowner policies. We photograph and document the damage from inspection through restoration and help you put the claim together so your adjuster has what they need.
